All instances of a world will show the same background lots as one instance (this can be either the original or the copy, depending on which the game detects first). All copies of apartments and penthouses share the same set of objects, so changes to one will effect all the others. Apartments and penthouses do not currently work properly. These aren’t specifically caused by the mod, and will apply even if you copy a world manually with the tutorial linked above. There are some limitations with world cloning. The mod also comes with a bonus cheat, worlds.rename, which allows you to rename existing worlds. World cloning is still an experimental process so there might be unknown bugs. * I strongly recommend saving to a new file in case something goes wrong. That’s it, you now have a new world in your game! Enter the name then click OK, then save*, return to the main menu and reload. With the mod installed, open the cheat console while in the world you want to copy (either in Build Mode or Live Mode), enter py, and a dialog will appear where you can enter the name of the new world. It allows you to quickly copy the current world using a cheat. Thanks to this tutorial on ModTheSims (and this version of the tutorial by with images and updated information), it’s possible to copy entire worlds and lots in a save file - that means you can have multiple Newcrests or Oasis Springs or any other world you want (with limitations that I’ll mention later).Ĭloning worlds by hand is long and tedious, so I made this mod to automate the process. One command allows you to add any trait to a Sim. Under MCC Settings > Notification/Command/Menu Settings > Console Command Settings, there is an option to enable debug commands that can be accessed by shift+clicking a Sim or object. There’s nothing I can do to fix this.įor Sims that have already been placed in the world, one way to add back old traits is using MC Command Center. If you already have Sims with custom traits, they will lose them and you’ll have to re-apply them. Unfortunately, this has the side effect of breaking compatibility with existing saved games and saved Sims in your library. The issue is due to the UI not understanding 64-bit trait IDs, and the solution is to use 32-bit IDs instead. Traits that are not made with Mod Constructor are the responsibility of their creators to fix. Modders will have to re-export their custom traits to apply the fix. I’ve released an update to Mod Constructor to fix the issue. Specifically, they cause the new Sim Profile UI to glitch up. As some of you may know, custom traits are broken with patch 1.68.
